  ○ Muscles and tendons are extremely important in reinforcing and stabilizing joints that have a poorly articulating surface as they pull on bones.
• ● Generate Heat

  ○ Muscle activity generates body heat as a by-product of contraction.

  ○ As ATP is used to power muscle contraction, nearly three-quarters of its energy escapes as heat.

  ○ Responsible for maintaining our body temperature.
