most commonly extraarticular fracture (type 1) but can also be intraarticular or juxtarticular
MOI: FOOSH + Wrist Flexion
Investigation:
Imaging: Xray (AP + Lateral)
Palmar angulation & Displacement
Radial shortening
• Management will depend on degree of displacement and bone health
• Non-displaced: NWB & POP/thermoplastic for 4 to 6 weeks
• Displaced: NWB & Closed reduction or ORIF
• Re Xray in 2 weeks and 6 weeks
