  • Bartons Fractures:
    • distal radius fracture with disruption/dislocation of the radiocarpal joint
    • MOI
    • FOOSH + pronated wrist
    • more common in older adults
    • Investigations
    • imaging: xray (AP + Lateral + Oblique)
    • distal radius displacement
    • management: surgical - ORIF + POP - as its intraarticular, its more likely to have internal fixation (ORIF)
    • re xray at 2 weeks and 6 weeks
