  Recruiting people who are most available

  Strength- easiest method, less time

  Weakness- Biased as only small part of population, not representative
• Random sampling


  e.g. random number table, lottery method, number generator

  Strengths- unbiased

  Weaknesses- time consuming, list of all the members of population
