• Solid:The strong forces between particles mean that they vibrate slightly but aren't able to move around freely.

  • incompressible (cant be squashed)
  • does not flow
  • hard to change the form or shape of it.
  • denser than a gas.

• liquid-The forces between the particles aren't as strong as a solid so the particles are close but are able to move.

  Due to this:

  • hard to change the volume (relatively compressible)
  • it can flow
  • easy to change its form and shape
  • denser than a gas
• Gas- There are no forces between the particles meaning that they can move anywhere and randomly, usually apart.

  due to this, they are:

  • compressible
  • it flows
  • easy to change its form/shape
  • less dense than a solid/liquid
