    They reduce high blood pressure therefore reducing the risk of an atheroma forming/athersclerosis

    Anticoagulants or platelet inhibitors
  • How do anticoagulants prevent blood clot formation?
    Prevents the formation of thrombin which means no fibrin is produced and no sticky mesh is formed over the damaged site
  • How do platelet inhibitors prevent blood clotting?
    Reduces the stickiness of platelets so they cannot stick to the fibrin mesh

    Coughing and dizziness

    • Excessive bleeding
