Six articles of faith in Sunni Islam

• What are the six articles of faith?

  1. Tawhid
  2. Malaikah
  3. Kutub
  4. Risalah

  6. Al-Qadr
• What is Tawhid?

  belief in one god. this means having faith in the oneness of god. Allah has no plural in Arabic
• What is Malaikah?

  Belief in Angels. Muslims believe that God passes messages, called Risalah, to prophets by Angels. Angels are Allahs first creation and always obey him
• What is Kutub?

  The belief in holy books. The holy books of Islam should be respected.
• What is Risalah?

  The belief in prophets. Muslims believe that the prophets should be respected not worshiped
• What is Akhirah?

  The day of judgement. Muslims believe earth is a test and that they will be judged by god who determines if they go to paradise or hell
• What is Al-Qadr?

  The belief in predestination. Allah has already decided everything that will happen
