The motor centre

• Responsible for voluntary motor movement
• Located in the frontal lobe
• On both hemispheres- the motor cortex in the right hemisphere controlling muscles on the left side of the body and vice versa
• Different parts of the motor cortex control different parts of the body
• Arranged logically- the region controlling the foot Is next to the region controlling the leg
