• Epithelial tissues

  • Epithelium ( plural epithelia)
  • Sheet-like tissues consist of cells with no extracellular matrix between them.
  • Examples: Skin,hair, nails.
  • Cover the outer surface ( eyeballs)
• Cell Junctions

  • Holds the cell of an epithelium together and secretes extracellular matrix."
• Blood Vessels do not run ian epithelium, so nutrient reach epithelial cells by diffusing from vessel in adjacent tissues.
• Simple Epithelium
