The Water Cycle

• what are the four stages of the water cycle?

  evaporation, condensation, precipitation, collection
• what happens at evaporation?


  energy from the sun makes water evaporate from the sea and turns into water vapour.
• what happens at condensation?


  the warm water vapour is carried upwards (warm air rises). when it gets higher it cools and condenses to form clouds.
• what happens at precipitation?


  water falls from the clouds as precipitation (rain) onto land.
• what happens at collection?


  collected into the sea and the process starts again.
