In 2004 the City of New York Committed $50 million for the transformation of the High Line
In 2006 construction began on the southernmost section of the High Line, beginning to turn the area into an urban park
In June 2009, phase 1 of the High Line opened for public use
In 2011, phase 2 opened for public use
In 2014, phase 3 opened for public use
Then finally in 2019, the Spur on 10th Avenue opens to the public
Additionally, in 2023 the Moynihan Connector path opened and this helps connect neighbourhoods and helps New York’s commuters
