• External reliability

  results are consistent every time test is repeated (on same pp)

  assessed using Test-Retest, same pp takes same test on a separate occasion and comparing results from both times
• Internal reliability

  Individual items e.g. questions, within a test are consistent with each other

  Assessed using the Split-half method, splitting test items in two to see if results consistent across the two halves of test
