  Mothers felt the pressure to stay home and take on all childcare responsibilities
• However, more recent research has shown that fathers are capable of providing children with the adequate emotional care, needed for healthy (psychological) development.

  Therefore, mothers feel less pressure to stay home and couples can share the childcare responsibilities.
