For regular verbs
To form the futuro with verbs ending in -ciare and -giare, such as cominciare and viaggiare, drop the -i from the stem in every verb form in order to maintain the softsound. With verbs ending in -care and -gare such as giocare and pagare, add an -h after the c and g in every verb form in order to maintain the hard sound.

In Italian, the futuro can also be used to express conjecture and probability.

The futuro anteriore (future perfect) is a compound tense formed using the future of the auxiliary (avere or essere) and the past participle of the verb. It is used to express actions that will have already happened or will not have been completed before another action takes place in the future. The futuro anteriore often requires the adverbs già (already) and non… ancora (not yet). It is also used to express conjecture and probability.
