HOWEVER... COUNTERARGUMENT!
• Meltzoff & Moore's 1983 research → In a later study, Meltzoff & Moore demonstrated the same synchrony in infants 3 days old. As the infants were so young, this appears to rule out the possibility that the behaviours being imitated were learnt, instead suggesting that interactional synchrony is innate
