Opaque objects and light

• opaque objects don’t transmit light
• when visible light rays hit opaque objects they absorb some and reflect some
• white objects reflect all the wavelengths of visible light equally
• black objects absorb all wavelengths of visible light
• transparent/translucent objects transmit light
