• Homologous chromosomes are chromosomes that pair during meiosis and that have the same structure and pattern of genes
• Karyotype is the number and visual appearance of chromosomes
• PMAT occurs twice
• Meiosis only creates gametes (sex cells), not somatic (body) cells
• Nondisjunction is irregular chromosome separation
