  • Mr Birling lecturers Eric on how everyone should care himself and not care for eachother
  • Mr Birling talks to Gerald about his company and business
• What is the third scene

  • Edna introduces the Inspector
  • The Inspector explains why he is here and what happend to Eva Smith
• What is the fourth scene

  • The Inspector only shows Mr Birling a photo of Eva Smith
  • The Inspector then asks Mr Birling what his relationship was with Eva Smith
  • Mr Birling explains and states he accepts no responsibility for what happend
• What is the 5th scene

  • The Inspector then moves on and only shows Shelia a photo of Eva Smith
  • The Inspector then asks if Shelia knows her and her relationship with Eva
  • Shelia admits she knew her and is feeling guilty and responsible for Eva's death
• What is the sixth scene

  • The Inspector then announced that after she got fired from Milwards she changed her name to Daisy Renton
• Last scene in act 1

  • The name Daisy Renton alarmed Gerald
  • When Shelia and Gerald are in the room alone Shelia releases that Daisy Renton was Gerald's mistress
