  the 2 kinds of PNS neuroglia - satelite cells + Schwann cells - differ mainly in location
• Satellite Cells


  satellite cells surround neuron cell bodies located in the PNS + r though to have many of the same functions in the PNS as astrocytes do in the CNS

  
• Schwann Cells

  Schwann cells surround all nerve fibres in the PNS to form myelin sheaths around the thicker nerve fibres

  functionally similar to oliogodendrocytes
