Food Webs

• A food web is a diagram that shows how energy flows through an ecosystem, showing which species eat other species.
• Food webs show the feeding relationships between organisms
• there are many different species within an environment - which means lots of different possible food chains. Food webs shows them all.
• all the species in a food web are interdependent, which means if one species changes, it will affects all the others
• energy flow is one way only (from producers to consumers)
• food webs can be used to predict what might happen when there's a change in the environment or population size of any species
