    A third power of the president is that he can pass an executive order without the approval of Congress. An executive order is a bill, usually to do with an urgent matter, which the president can introduce and pass himself without having to go through the usual scrutiny normal bills would have to go through.

    For example, in 2021 Joe Biden issued an executive order explaining everyone working for the government must have had he COVID-19 vaccine. This bill did not need to be challenged by congress and therefore it went straight into law.

    However, if an executiv order is issued and Congress find it uncontitutional, they can challenge it and the bill will be scrapped

    . For example, in 2019 donald trump issued an executive order which baned people from mainly muslim countries from travelling to the US. Congress found this uncontitutional and therefore the executive order did not become law.

    Overall this shows that the executive branch has a lot of power as if they issue a reasonable order then it will be passed straight away into law.
