  The Witches enjoy the chaos. This is mirrored by Macbeth in a later scene showing how he is linked to them.
• A drum, A drum; Macbeth doth come


  The Witches know when Macbeth is near and are ready to enact their plan for destruction
• [New warnings] Beware Macduff /None of woman born shall harm Macbeth / Macbeth shall never vanquished be until Great Birnham Wood to high Dunsinane Hill shall come against him


  The Witches are being ambiguous with Macbeth to make him have a false sense of security (equivocation)
