    People like the benefits, being able to purchase goods online and have them delivered the next day, with many thinking little of the consequences.
    People travel more freely, many meet others and form relationships, with further bonds between countries being formed.
    Kuwait and the UAE are now mad up of 50% immigrants.
  • NGOs
    Non state actors have created institutions to try and solve common problems.
    NGOs have risen from c130 at the start of the 20th century to around 6000 at the start of the 21st.
    They are wide ranging, from climate change, poverty and human rights.
  • Culture
    The same commodities, brands and entertainment are seen nearly everywhere.
    Examples include, FIFA World Cup, Netflix, Nike.
  • International Trade
    The global economy has become a single entity.
  • Technology
    The speed, ease and low cost of moving information has made it easier to trade globally.
  • States and IGOs
    IGOs have grown over the last 150 years and serve different functions.
    The IMF provides funding to poor countries as part of Structural Adjustment Programme, with the money being contingent on the state abiding by certain rules.
    The EU negotiates trade deals on behalf its members.
  • The UK as a globalised country.
    The UK imports 50% of its food, 90% of its clothes and 37% of its fuels.
    The UK exports £25 billion worth of food.
