    • Onomatopoeia 

      When words sound like the noise. E.g: The car SCREECHED to a halt. (screeched)
    • Personification

      when something is described to have human attributes. E.g: The TREES DANCED PLAYFULLY in the rain or The MOON SMILED at the people below.
    • Alliteration

      When two or more words begin with the same sound.
      E.g.: Lily received FANCY FLOWERS, for her birthday or We enjoyed releasing by the SILENT SEA.
    • Simile

      A way of describing something by saying it's like something.
      E.g.: The girl crept up AS QUIETLY AS A MOUSE.
    • Hyperbole

      Aka exaggeration, it is when an unrealistic comparison is made for an effect.
      E.g.: I WILL DIE if she asks me to preform or His brain is the SIZE OF A PEA.
    • Metaphor

      Metaphors describe something by saying that it is something else. Never use 'like' or 'as'.
      E.g.: Dylan IS a pig when he eats.
    • Sibilance

      When words in a row begin with the S letter, or S sound.
      E.g.: The S nake was S lowly hi SS ing
