Semantic

Cards (1)

  • Semantic memory is more of a general knowledge about the world based on ideas, concepts and facts (it is 'knowing that...). They include things like knowing what colour something is, knowing what a word means and knowing the capital of our country. They are not usually linked to time (i.e. we don't remember when we learnt the capital of our country) believed that semantic memory is highly organised and interconnected, and not as susceptible to forgetting as episodic memories.
