    London is attracting a lot of businesses to set up in their city as London has quite good transport routes, more money is pumped into London meaning that businesses will want to stay due to the good transport routes, places such as Manchester and Sheffield struggle to get people to come into their cities compared to London
  • What is another cause of uneven development to do with Infrastructure
    The infrastructure in London is quite good due to the funding the city has recieved over the years, this means they have better houses and living areas compared to other places. This city is also the best city for businesses to set up in. The transport links seem to be better in London compared to the Southwest and the Scottish Highlands

    In the 1980s, the government began to withdrew the grants it had supplied to the secondary sector, instead giving this money to the finance sector. This caused high unemployment rates in the North compared to London and the South where there was drastic rises in their economy. A few more examples of money being invested into the south was the London 2012 Olympic games, this further increased the division between the North and the South
