Neutralisation Reactions

• Bases which are soluble in water, are called alkali. The three types of bases are:

  • Metal oxides
  • Metal hydroxides
  • Metal carbonates
• Neutralisation reaction creates water and salt
• Spectator ions are ions that remain unchanged during a reaction
