  • What do baptists see the baptism as?
    They don't believe in sacraments so for them baptism is an ordinance. This means it is a direct order from Jesus

    Jesus gave a specific instruction to 'make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit' (Matthew 28:19). This is an ordinance and should be taken very seriously

    Jesus was an adult when he was baptised and they don't believe in original sin so it is not necessary to wash it away early in a person's life

    Believers baptism. Baptism can only be meaningful when the person who is being baptised knows and fully understands what they are committing to
