    our bodies are 60% water,so they need to be maintained at that level. water is in all body cells and is involved in chemical reactions in the body. water regulates the body’s temperatur,keeping it around 37*C. it is found in all body fluids,such as blood,urine,saliva,digestive juices and sweat. it helps get rid of waste in faeces and urine. it keeps the linings of our digestive system,lungs,nose and throat moist. it helps us absorb nutrient. it transports nutrients,oxygen and carbon dioxide around the body.

    1.75 to 2 litres of water a day in drinks and food
  • what happens if we have too little water?
    if we do not drink enough water,we will become dehydrate. this means you may have the following symptom:headache,dark-coloured urine,weakness and nausea,overheating of the body,confusion and changes in blood pressure.
  • what happens if we drink to much water?
    if you drink too much water, your kidneys will not be able to cope and your blood will become diluted. your brain will swell and this can cause nausea,convulsions and maybe death.
