    1. crimes of dishonest are the most common types of crimes in Scotland. This is when people arnt honest and cheating others out of money. For examole fraud, theft and house breaking
    2. A category of crime is violent crime. These are crimes that result in physical harm but not in a sexual way. For example, murder and assault are violent crimes.
    3. another category is sexual crimes. These crimes include unwanted or illegal sexual activity. For example, rape , sexual assault andrevenge porn” are all sexual crimes
  • Describe, in detail, two ways that highlight crime in Scotland is a problem .
    1. Crimes of dishonesty are the most common type of crime in Scotland. This is because insurance companies won’t pay out unless these crimes are reported to the police. For example, 36%of all crimes recorded are crimes of dishonest.
    2. Sexual crimes have increased in the last decad. This is because more victims are reporting historical crimes from the past. For example, sexual crimes like rape have increased by 70% in the last decade, but overall only 5% of crimes in Scotland are sexual.
