  • Work done = force x distance moved
    W = FD
  • Work done is equal to energy transferred
  • Gravitational potential energy = mass x gravitational field strength x height
    GPE = MGH
  • Kinetic energy = 1/2 x mass xspeed2speed^2
    KE = 1/2 x M x v2v^2
  • If work is done on an object, its KE or GPE will increase, but if work is done by an object, its KE or GPE will decrease
  • Power is the rate of transfer of energy, or the rate of work done 
  • Power = work done/time taken
