  this is how the sperm enters teh secondary oocyte
• what two layers must eh sperm get past in order to reach the egg cytoplasm and in what order

  Corona radiata and then the zona pellucida
• what is the first stage of the acrsome reaction

  the spermatozoa will push their way through the cells of the corona radiata
• what will happen to the acrosome(sperm head) when the spermatozoa reaches the zona pellucida

  the acrosome will rupture and release hydrolase enzyme
• when the acrosome ruptures and releases enzymes what will these enzymes do to the zona pellucida


  the enzymes will digest a path through the zona pellucida
