• Product Design Specification (PDS): A document written before the design process begins that defines product characteristics, provides direction, and evaluates design choices based on the initial brief and design research.
• Technical Specification (TS): A document written after the product design is complete but before manufacturing, summarizing all technical characteristics of the product and providing manufacturing details and technical information for consumers.
