• Lipase breaks down lipids into Fatty Acids & Glycerol. IT IS IN THE PANCREAS, SMALL INTESTINE.
• Lipase, Protease and Amylase ALL made in the pancreas, small intestine. Amylase also Salivary glands, Protease: also Stomach.
• Enzymes are Biological Catalysts. Catalysts Speed up reactions without being used up or changed.
• The Active Site and Substrate are complementary to each other.
• The Active site breaks down the substrate into products, which are released and used.
• Bile is made in liver and stored the Gall bladder it NEUTRALISES stomach acid and EMULSIFIES(breaks down) fats. Makes digestion faster.
