• What are the stages of development ?

  • Pre- natal
  • Childhood
  • Adolescent
  • Adulthood
• What is the prenatal stage?

  Its the time from when a baby is conceived to when it is born.
• What happens during the childhood stage?

  • Its the period from birth to the age of 12
  • Children at the start of this stage are totally reliant on their parents /caregivers, who they bond with in order to gain self-confidence and independence .
  • As they move through the stage, they rapidly gain skills such as walking and talking, and start to be more autonomous.
• What happens during the Adolescence stage ?

  • From 13 to 19 yrs old, Its the transitional stage from childhood into adulthood.
  • The body undergoes significant changes during this period as it matures sexually .
  • Individuals going through this stage begin to think , act and feel differently.
• What happens during the Adulthood stage ?

  • From the stage of 10 until death, an individuals enters adulthood.
  • This is a time of taking on new responsibilities such as intimate relationships, parenthood and careers.
