• Vaccine Vial Monitor

  Located in the upper portion (ampoules) or body or rubber portion (vials)

  ● Chemical indicator level or label attached to the vaccine containers (vial, ampoule, dropper)
• Vaccine Vial Monitor

  INDICATOR THAT VACCINE CAN BE USED:

  ● It is normal that the VVM is NEVER pure white

  ○ It is slightly purple and begins lighter in color in the outer circle

  ○ The inner square may darken in color (due to temperature and duration of heat)
• Vaccine Vial Monitor

  INDICATOR OF DISCARD POINT:

  ● The discard point shows the inner square being the same color as the outer circle

  INDICATOR THAT VACCINE CAN’T BE USED:

  ● The inner square is darker than the outer circle
