Shia Muslims believe they have free will- ensures they choose good actions to live by in their life so they will be rewarded. they are more conscious of God, so will try their best to live a good life
Allah is omnipotent and some Sunni Muslims believe that God had already determined everything that will happen- God has power over everything and gives Muslims comfort that whatever happens in life is God's will
muslims will be compensated for the hardships they endure in life- they see life as a test, there will be good and bad things that happen in life. this could lead to some losing hope when things are not going so well or becoming too reliant on God and not taking responsibility for their own actions
