    • High demand will need flow or mass production to give the large volumes required.
  • Skills of Staff:
    • Where staff have low skills, then a more mechanised may be more suitable.
  • Product design and quality method:
    • High quality may mean using job production but it also may mean using technology and robots to give accurate, consistent standards.
  • Finance available:
    • Mass production may require the investment of large amounts of finance to purchase the technology needed.
  • Type of product:
    • One-off, bespoke products may require skilled staff creating unique items using job production.
