• Dickens got others to consider problems faced by others through his writing, by creating compassion for characters (who were based off real people)
• Dickens made his work accessible by making it relatable to everyone. For example - he made it accessible to the upper class by including the idea of a home
• Dickens wanted to change people ideas on things not change the way things were run
• Dickens was married to Catharine Hogarth and had 10 kids (2 who died)
• Dickens died 8th June 1870
• he wrote 15 novels
