What is the role of Correspondence principle in education?
(Bowles & Gintis) - The school system has part of the hiddencurriculum which is utilised to socialise students to become obedient workers - School Mirrors the workplace. This is Correspondence Principle.
E.G - Students & Workers are expected to wearuniform , there is a hierarchy in school & the workplace.
It is believed that workers ‘must’ be obedient in order to keep the bourgeoisie in power and to maintain the capitalist system.

Very deterministic and assumes students have no free will and accept indoctrination, and fails to explain why pupils donot follow schoolrules.
