Blood vessels

• Pulmonary vessels transport blood from the right ventricle of heart through the lungs and back to the left atrium
• Blood flows from arterioles into capilliaries
• From the capillaries, blood flows into veins
• Veins that have diameter greater than 2mm contains valve, which ensure the blood flows toward the heart but not in the opposite direction
• Medium-sized veins collect blood from small veins and deliver it to larger veins
• Blood pressure is normally taken from the brachial artery
• the radial artery is the most commonly used for taking a pulse
