• We are born a 'blank slate' and learn everything from out environment.
• Our environment and social norms shape our personalities.
• Nomothetic: Established general laws, CC and OC.
• Have to look at external, observable behaviour- more scientific.
• Thoughts and feelings cannot be studied objectively so therefore aren't worthy of studying.
• Criticises Wundt.
