    • Description of three root poisons
The three root poisons are at the centre of the wheel of samsara, and the three symbols which are a rooster, snake and a pig. These three symbols represent greed, hatred and ignorance. The three animals are shown to be biting each others tails, showing that they feed off each other. This links to the Buddhas teaching that each thing originates because of another thing that has gone before it, this concept is known as kamma.
