  • Strong odour
  • Parts of flesh appear black
  • Gas escapes
  • Corpse collapses
• Discolouration -

  • Greenish, purplish staining from blood decomposition
  • Face becomes discoloured
• Bloating -

  • Bacteria respire & release CO2 in intestines -> abdomen swells
  • Corpse boats with CO2, chest & abdominal cavities burst & collapses
