    Finger like structures around the cell body that form a tree like structure
  • What is an axon?
    Long extension from cell body that transmits impulses
  • Where is a terminal button?
    At the end of an axon branch
  • What is the myelin sheath?
    Protects the axon
  • What are the breaks in the myelin sheath called?
    Nodes of Ranvier
