legal executives

• preform roles very similar to that of solicitors although they do not automatically have rights to appear in court and specialise in a particular area of law, draft documents, negotiate and give legal advice
• legal executives are qualified lawyers their professional associations is the charted institute of legal executives (aka ilex)
• train part time whilst training for a law firm , they study in wide range of academic law topics and study a narrow range of vocational topics based on their area of practice
• • level 3 professional diploma in law and practice (core subjects associate member of the ILEX)
  • Cilex level 6 professional higher diploma (graduate member of ILEXQ)
  • three years‘ work experience
  • chartered legal executive (can go on to qualify as a solicitor with further study and LPC)
