  • Narration - tells a story about a certain character/s in a specific time and place. This means you present a sequence of events leading to the climax.
  • Exposition - explains or informs the reader about a certain topic or idea. Expose, reveal, disclose the facts or truths about a certain topic.
  • Sequence/Procedures - Explains something in sequential order:
    • Exploring process
    • Steps or Directions how to build/make something
  • Comparison & Contrast - Comparing two topics.
  • Cause & Effect - Explains the causes or reasons for an event or natural phenomenon.
  • Problem & Solution - Explains the solution (s) for the problem.
  • Unlocking Content Vocabulary - Using Context Clues.
    • mimics - to follow or imitate
    • pagan idols - God deities
    • conversion - change or transform
    • bequeathing - given or pass or handed
    • emulate - follow or match or imitate
    • hostile - unfriendly or aggressive
    • aboriginal - indigenous
