Lesson 2

Cards (4)

  • Motion occurs when an object changes position over time.
  • Net Force - the sum of all forces acting on an object.
  • Unbalanced Forces
    • A condition when opposite forces acting on an object are not the same.
    • The net force acting on the object is not zero.
    • It causes a change in motion.
    • If the forces are moving in the same direction, add the forces. On the other hand, if opposite direction, subtract.
  • Balanced Forces
    • Objects acted upon by balanced forces stay at rest or move at a constant velocity.
    • Net Force = zero
    • No change in motion
    • Understanding balanced forces helps explain the stability and motion of objects in various real-world scenarios.
