Motion
occurs when an object changes position over time.
Net
Force
- the sum of all forces acting on an object.
Unbalanced
Forces
A condition when opposite forces acting on an object are not the same.
The net force acting on the object is not zero.
It causes a change in motion.
If the forces are moving in the same direction, add the forces. On the other hand, if opposite direction, subtract.
Balanced
Forces
Objects acted upon by balanced forces stay at rest or move at a constant velocity.
Net Force = zero
No change in motion
Understanding balanced forces helps explain the
stability
and
motion
of objects in various real-world scenarios.
