    Participants should have the right to withdraw.
  • What is the requirement for ensuring participants' behavior in research studies?
    Participants should be ensured that their behavior was typical/normal.
  • What support should be provided to participants in research studies if they are distressed?
    Counselling should be provided if participants are distressed.
  • How is privacy and confidentiality dealt with?
    - We have the right to control information about ourselves if it's invaded.
    - confidentiality should be respected.
    - If personal details are held they must be protected (legal requirement.)
    - Research is referred to participants using numbers, initials and false names.
    - Participants data can't be shared with other researchers.
