  Whether a person is biologically male or female, based on their appearance, hormones, and anatomy
• What is the definition of gender?

  Whether an individual feels like they are a male or female psychologically
• The majority of people develop a gender identity that matches our sex
• Sex role stereotypes are society's expectations about what are acceptable/usual characteristics and behaviours for males and females
• Most stereotypes have little basis in relaity and can lead to sexist assumptions and discrimination
• We may learn stereotypes from:
